A trusted friend on the farm for more than 100 years, Bag Balm helps soothe cuts, scratches, skin irritations, and paw abrasions. It gets pets back on their feet. Made in USA by Dairy Association, Lyndonville, Vermont.
Size: 10 oz tin
A salve originally developed in 1899 to soothe irritation on cows' udders after milking, Bag Balm is now widely accepted as a fantastic treatment for dry, chapped and irritated skin on dogs, cats, horses, and, yes, even humans. Its uses are many: try it on squeaky door hinges, dry facial skin, cracked fingers, burns, acne (people and pets), diaper rash, saddle sores, sunburn, pruned trees, etc.
The formula was purchased by John L. Norris from a Vermont druggist sometime before the turn of the century and is packaged still today in its characteristic green square tin featuring a cow's head and red clovers. Bag Balm was used by Admiral Byrd during his expedition to the North Pole and more recently at Ground Zero in New York City after 9/11 for the paws of search dogs.
No one knows when the first farmer tried a little Bag Balm® on the paws of the family dog, but the product proved itself once again. Try some on your dog. Minor cuts and abrasions will be quickly soothed, and dry, cracked paw pads will be on their way to recovery.
