Manufactured in Los Angeles since 1910, Bauer is the first name in California pottery. The Bauer Pottery Company of Los Angeles closed its doors in 1962 to reopen in 2000 and is experiencing a resurgence in the popularity of this American original, thanks to collector web sites and online auction houses. The new Bauer line, Bauer 2000, is being reproduced with an emphasis on items originally manufactured in the 1930s and 40s.
