Nina Ottosson calls her Zoo Active products 'party games' for dogs. Ten years ago she came up with the first of her dog puzzles, which she based on her dogs' natural movements and instincts.

 

The Dog Pyramid, one of Nina Ottosson's collection of interactive dog toys, is made of sturdy, bright red plastic. Shaped like a beehive with a weighted bottom and one hole on the side near the top, the toy is intended to be loaded with treats and pushed around by the dog to make the treats fall out. It's similar to other treat-stuffed toys, but the weighted bottom makes it unique; every time the dog pushes it over, it rights itself again.

 

Although most Nina Ottoson toys are made in Sweden, a country known for its environmental consciousness, the Pyramid is made in China. The Plastic is made from recycled plastic. At the end of its useful live, the Dog Pyramid can be left at recycling stations so the materials can be reused.
